Benefiting The Dallas Stars Foundation
By Norma’s Cafe and Friends

On Wednesday, October 23rd, Norma’s Cafe held the first annual, Come & Steak It, a fundraiser and festival in honor of Texas Chicken Fried Steak Day. Guests enjoyed eating unlimited amounts of Chicken Fried Steak and a few adult beverages, while raising funds for the Dallas Stars Foundation for the 3rd year in a row. We had live music by George Dunham’s band The Bird Dogs, a live auction MC’d by the Dallas Stars’ Marty Turco, a silent auction stacked with amazing goodies and lots of Texas themed surprises.

Thanks to all of our partners and sponsors, we were able to raise over $31,000 for the Dallas Stars Foundation! We are looking forward to October 2020 to host again and hopefully raise even more money and awareness for this amazing charity.

The countdown is also on until Texas Chicken Fried Steak Day!

Norma’s Cafe’s owner, Ed Murph, had a hand in Texas Legislative passing this holiday into law, so we have to celebrate! For the past 5 years, we’ve held an exclusive Chicken Fried Steak Bus tour that has raised over $85,000 for Dallas non-profits. We are already planning our 2020 event and hope you’ll join us!

100% of all ticket sales, monetary sponsorships and additional funds raised from the silent & live auctions will be directly donated to the Dallas Stars Foundation. If you would like to be a part of the event, please click our sponsorship form or email Katy Anderson at
